When is a will regarded as being valid in form according to Israeli law?

If it is valid according to one of the following:

1. Israeli law

2. the law of the country where it was made

3. the law of the place in which the testator ordinarily lives

4. the law of the place in which the testator has citizenship

5. the law of the place where the property is situated if the will contains real estate

    

Which law applies re the legal capacity of the testator and the witnesses?

The law of the place where the testator was domiciled when he died, as well as validity of the will in terms of form, as stated above , which also applies to the witnesses.

What time is the relevant time for establishing whether the will was valid?

Whether it was valid according to the law of the place where the testator has citizenship, at the time he/she made the will, or at the time of his/her death.

What determines the validity of a will containing real estate?

In addition to the usual tests re validity, the will can also be examined in terms of the laws of the place in which the real estate is located.
